    Type of Program or Service:
    This is a 3-week half-day program for individuals experiencing difficulty in achieving successful outcomes to their personal & employment goals. Offered in a safe & supportive setting, the program combines both group and one to one support, tailored to meet individual needs and address issues that are hindering independence.

    With a primary focus on essential skills & job search, the group sessions are scheduled from 9am to 12noon, Monday to Friday for three consecutive weeks, to better meet the needs of those clients that may not be able to take part in full day sessions: single parents, those with daycare issues, individuals with physical limitations and or disabilities, etc.

    Our Skilled Coaches are here to assist individuals in identifying & implementing successful methods for addressing employability & personal awareness issues that are stopping them from obtaining and/or maintaining employment. One to one assistance and/or small group sessions will be targeted to addressing the specific barriers to success as presented by each individual and/or group, and may include:

    • Stress Management
    • Intro to Online Job Search
    • Life Long Learning Planning (Decision Making)
    • Self Employment & Wage Subsidy Awareness
    • Anger Management
    • Time Management
    • Self-Esteem Building
    • Problem Solving
    • Goal Setting
    • Managing Change & Transition

    Eligibility: Open to those unemployed or underemployed, and legally entitled to work in Canada.

    Ongoing registration. No cost to participants. Program is funded in whole or part through the Canada-British Columbia Labour Market Development Agreement.
