    Type of Program or Service:
    Career Builder Plus is a career planning service designed for individuals managing today's transitions with work, life & training. We know people require customized service with maximum flexibility. Individuals create a "return to work plan" with support by professionals, and modules offered in the mornings and/or afternoons, thereby accommodating individuals with scheduling challenges (part-time work, job searching, self-employed, daycare, health, other).

    This program will assist you in identifying the work you would enjoy doing & finding the "best fit". Explore "who you are" using top of the line self-assessment tools, and research "what's out there" to make informed decisions on "how to get there" with increased confidence & strategies for success.

    Career Builder Plus has the following services:

    1) GROUP PROCESS ~ 10 half day workshops (modules). All modules cover the career planning process in depth.

    2) INDIVIDUAL CAREER CONSULTING ~ Select from up to 17 modules/workshops to create a plan of action supported by the consultation.

    3) EMPLOYABILITY ENHANCEMENT ~ acquire
    • Essential Skills required for work, learning and life.
    • TOWES assessment to confirm and validate your skill levels

    Intake Process:
    a) No-cost weekly Information/Registration Sessions, every Thursday @ 2pm in Room A1080; or
    b) Continuous one to one intake with a Career Consultant in which you design your own plan.

    Eligibility: Unemployed individuals (working less than 20 hours per week) who are eligible to work in Canada.
